Kaisa grew up in the unforgiving southern deserts of Shurima. Her parents loved her and Kaisa loved to play with her friends.
When Kaisa was just 10 years old, strange events started to happen in the villages. Her mother urged her to stay home because of strangers wandering their village. These strangers demanded tribute to the dark powers below.
However, Kaisa and her friends did not believe there was any danger. One night they came upon a pen of sacrificial goats. Kaisa set the animals free with the knife her father had given her on her eighth birthday. Even though it was a harmless prank, the unthinkable happened.
Suddenly the ground began to quake and flashes of light crashed across the sky. The children ran for their lives.
As a great rift split the bedrock, the Void had been awakened, swallowing up Kaisa’s village and everyone in it. The only thing left was sand pierced with twisted black columns.
When Kaisa came to, she found herself trapped underground. Of course, Kaisa was filled with fear but as she heard the faint cries of other survivors, she was filled with hope.
One by one, they called to each other, repeating their names. By the third day, Kaisa’s voice was the only one left. She was alone, her friends and family gone.
She thought all was lost, until she saw the light. As Kaisa followed this light down she found food and water. Soon, she began to fear again.
Finding herself in a large cavern that was lit by an otherworldly purplish glow, Kaisa found she was no longer alone.
There were creatures stirring in the darkness. One came at her as she clutched her knife in both hands. As the creature knocked her down, she drove the blade into its pulsing heart.
As they tumbled deeper into the abyss, the seemingly dead creature’s skin took a hold of her arm. The dark shell tingled as it touched Kaisa, but was hard as steel. Kaisa broke her knife trying to remove. When the larger beasts came, Kaisa used this skin as a shield.
After a while, she realized the shell was becoming a part of her. This second skin grew with her as well as her resolve. Being filled with hope, she devised a plan: fight hard, stay alive, find a way back.
Being transformed, Kaisa became a fearless predator. Living between two worlds, Kaisa has attempted to keep the two worlds apart. The Void hungers to feed on the whole of Runeterra but Kaisa must not let this happen.
Protecting villages from the Void, people view her as a monster herself, and has passed her name down as a legend. Now she is known as Kai’Sa instead of Kaisa.
This champion is best played in the Bot Lane as ADC. Kai’Sa is not too hard to learn, but does require some practice in order to be good with her.
Every champion in League of Legends has a passive and 4 abilities which are used by pressing “Q”, “W”, “E”, and “R” on a keyboard during game play. “R” is considered an ultimate ability and is usually the most powerful ability. Each ability has a cool down, which means you have to wait some time before you can cast it again.
Kai’Sa’s abilities use mana. So you will have to watch your mana bar during the game. If your mana runs out, you will not be able to cast spells until it fills up.
Passive – Second Skin. Each basic attack will stack Plasma up to 4 times, which deals increasing magic damage. Ally’s immobilizing abilities help stack Plasma as well. Buying items will upgrade her basic abilities to living weapons and will have more properties.
Q – Icathian Rain.
- This ability will cause Kai’Sa to shoot out a series of missiles that seek out enemy targets.
- Living Weapon – Kai’Sa will shoot out more missiles when this ability upgrades.
W – Void Seeker.
- Kai’Sa will fire a long range missile which will deal damage if it hits a champion and apply a passive mark.
- Living Weapon – More passive marks will apply on hit and the cool down will be reduced.
E – Supercharge.
- Kai’Sa will briefly increase her movement speed and then her attack speed will increase.
- Living Weapon – When her movement speed is increased Kai’Sa will gain invisibility.
R – Killer Instinct. Kai’Sa will dash to a nearby enemy that is affected with Plasma and will gain a shield that absorbs damage.
How To Play Kai’Sa
Kai’Sa is a strong late game ADC champion. Play her well in the early game and you can easily carry your team to victory.
Start with your Q in lane. This will allow you to do a lot of damage onto targets around you. The missiles prioritize hitting enemy champions, so keep that in mind when you use it.
Take your W next and use it to poke the enemy from a safe distance.
At level 3 take your E and use it to gain movement speed to get in a better position, whether a safer position or a more aggressive position.
When you hit level 6, take your R and use it to get close to an enemy that is low. Be careful when using this ability. If you dive the back line without any backup, you could die to the enemy team instantly. I recommend only using this ability when you are confident you can take down the target you are dashing to.
During lane, try to last hit minions as much as possible while harassing your opponent as they try to last hit. When your Jungler comes to gank, go in hard with E and Q and finish with your ult.
Tips And Tricks
You can actually use R to dash over walls and terrain if the target you are dashing to is close enough to the edge.
Using your W is a great way to scout bushes. Use it before entering a bush you think the enemy might be hiding in. Any enemy hit will be revealed.
It is important to remember that you cannot attack during the movement speed bonus on your E. Use it to get into a better or safer position.
Always try to max out the stacks on your passive. Your 5th attack will deal a lot of magic damage based on the target’s missing health.
When using your Q, try to use it on a target that is alone. All the missiles will focus them, dealing way more damage.
Your auto attacks will reduce the cool down on your E. Keep your auto attacks up to reduce the cool down.
